WELCOME

Thank you for visiting The Lyndon Center. It is the hope that you will find valuable information here as you consider learning more about this counseling and coaching ministry.

Each and everyone of us experiences times in our lives where we need a fresh perspective, a different vantage point, a reframing of the past, a listening ear, an objective view, some tips and direction for our next steps. The purpose of The Lyndon Center is to assist in these ways with sound Christian principles. “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10 NIV Sometimes we need help finding that life. Seeking the help of an experienced and trained pastoral counselor can bring the needed support and provide the tools needed to find that life. It is the mandate of The Lyndon Center to provide a trusted confidant and a safe place from which to move forward victoriously in Christ.

Counseling and coaching at The Lyndon Center is provided by Dr. F. Michael Grubbs. To contact The Lyndon Center, please e-mail mike@thelyndoncenter.com or call 704-361-1813 to speak with Dr. Grubbs.

Top Down Thinking in a Bottom Up World’s central truth is found in Romans 12:2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. (NLT) It is the behavior and customs of this world that shape our identity from an early age, from this identity we choose our options for life and seek purpose. This in turn, determines our actions, our behaviors. BUT WHAT IF… What if our identity was formed in heaven? What if God wants to transform our thinking to his thinking, our purpose to his purpose? This would certainly change our actions, our behaviors.
